After-School Care

Our mission is to provide high quality childcare to the local community. We endeavour to provide the children with a positive afterschool care experience. We do this by meeting the individual needs of each child in our service and allowing for the children to make choices in their day.

In line with Ireland’s national curriculum framework, Aistear and Síolta, we aim to promote an active hands-on learning experience for each child. We believe that children learn best through play and real-life experiences. We aim to deliver an action-packed curriculum for your children. Our weekly curriculum planning stems from the children’s needs and interests. We believe that a child led, interest-based curriculum results in the children having rich, interesting learning experiences.

Snacks & Hot Meals

The children who are attending for the full day 13:30/14:30 - 18:00 will get a hot meal and a snack.

At Phoenix we understand that nutrition is paramount for children’s growth and development. Our hot meals are supplied by Moon & Spoon.

Check out their website here for more information.

We will cook the meals on site, so they are prepared freshly for the children each day. The children will have unlimited access to water throughout the day. Milk will be served with both the snack and hot meal.

There will also be a fruit basket in the room for the children to freely take fruit throughout the day should they be hungry in between meals.

Dietary Requirements

We cater for all dietary requirements. If your child has special dietary requirements, please let us know upon enrolment.

Snack

A healthy snack will be provided, in line with the HSE recommended portion for their age.
The snack will consist of a variation of fruits, vegetables, crackers, meats, cheeses & breads.

Sample Afterschool Daily Routine
